My visit to Taining

During my trip to Fujian, I was happy most of the time. Sometimes when I found a new rock, sometimes when I caught a new bug. Once when I was hiking in Zhaixia Grand Canyon, I found a really cool rock, but I couldn’t see what was inside the shell. It was a rock I had never seen before. But after I finished my class with Dr. Su, he lent me with his geology hammer, and I hacked the rock opened in Zhaixia Grand Canyon. Specifically it was in one of the caves. It was very big and very red. I hacked the rock opened when it was around 10 in the morning, and the sun wasn’t too hot. Dr. Su helped me and I was very happy when I found out what was in the rock. I found out they were red and transparent crystals in there, though I only got to see a little bit of them. 

I was inspired by a lot of things. You know why? I was inspired by Dr. Su because he could tell us virtually almost everything about rocks. Because I really like rocks. I was inspired by him. I want to know lots of things about rocks. So I listened to classes, to Dr. Su’s classes particularly carefully. 

Like when we were at a place where it looked like the half Dome at Yosemite, there was a gap, a line through a piece of rock the half dome was caused. I asked Dr. Su if the Rock that is cut off a little bit from the main face is going to fall down in some time? And he said yes. So I want to know when the rock is going to fall down. 

I did a lot of things. Once I caught a bug by its head after I had finished going on a float boat tour of Jiulong Tan. I used my yellow tweezer and I caught it by the head. It was a cricket. I caught two more a few days later. I was very happy when I caught the cricket because I did not have many bugs at that time. I saw the cricket when I was about to sit down and wait for one of the buses to get us and send us back to our coach. When I saw the cricket, then I got my yellow tweezer, wait I did not get them out, I had one in my hand. First, I snapped at it and got it on the head, but then it jumped off so then I snapped at it two more times, it jumped off each time, finally on the last time, I caught it. I felt very happy when I caught it. And then when I was in the middle of catching it, my little sister came and helped me catch it.

I also saw lots of impressive things. But I am only going to tell you one of them. Once, I saw a waterfall, and it was very beautiful. The waterfall was marking the cross point of the Chongan Formation and Shaxian Formation. It was very calm before it reached around half a meter away from the fall. Where it was half a meter away from the waterfall, it rushed up to meet the waterfall. The water was somewhat flying through the air, like birds, like birdy birds. 

I saw it when I was on a tour for the Golden lake, big Golden lake. The tour took four hours. When did I see the waterfall, you might ask. I saw it at lunch time, it should be around 11 or 12 because the sun was scorching hot. In this impressive event, everyone in our group was involved. Everyone did something impressive, my sister collected moss samples, I got two more crickets, as I said, and collected more moss samples.    

后记：迩行今年暑假二年级升三年级，还不太具备自己独立成文的能力。这篇小短文由迩行在一个小时内，分成四次口述，随后妈妈帮忙转写成文字并删除部分口语化表述而成。
